AI Discovery Files

AI Discovery Files are an open, versioned community specification for publishing AI-readable website identity, usage, brand, and context information at predictable root-level paths.

The goal is to move from emerging convention to recognised implementation standard through open specifications, conformance tests, validators, public adoption research and interoperable implementations.

How AI visibility scores are calculated

A listing's score is the number of the 10 AI Discovery Files we could fetch from the site: llms.txt, llm.txt, llms.html, ai.txt, ai.json, identity.json, brand.txt, faq-ai.txt, developer-ai.txt and robots-ai.txt.

Scores map to four tiers: Platinum for all 10 files, Gold for 8 or 9, Silver for 5 to 7 and Bronze for 2 to 4. There is no manual judgement and no weighting, so two sites publishing the same files score the same.
