Submit your site — the system automatically checks for all 10 AI Discovery Files and calculates your AI Visibility score. The minimum requirement is a valid llms.txt file.

Your score is the number of AI Discovery Files found on your site, from 0 to 10. Each file that is present and valid adds 1 point. See How Scoring Works for full details.

A basic listing appears as a card in the directory grid. A full listing gets a dedicated profile page with a dofollow backlink to your website, score breakdown, file inventory, and category listing. Full listings require AI Visibility specification attribution. See the Attribution Guide.

A dofollow backlink is a link that passes SEO authority (sometimes called “link juice”) from one website to another. When a full listing on the AI Discovery Files Directory links to your website, search engines like Google see it as a vote of confidence — which can improve your domain authority and search rankings. Basic listings use nofollow links, which do not pass this authority. Upgrading to a full listing via specification attribution is the simplest way to earn a dofollow backlink from this directory.

Add a reference to ai-visibility.org.uk in at least 2 of your AI Discovery Files (one must be llms.txt or ai.txt), then re-check your site. Once upgraded, your listing earns a dofollow backlink. Full instructions in the Attribution Guide.

Listings are automatically re-checked quarterly. You can also request a manual re-check from your dashboard at any time.

Yes, you can submit and manage multiple websites from a single account. Each domain has its own listing.

From your dashboard, create a verification file at yoursite.com/ai-visibility-verify.txt containing the token shown on the verification page. Once verified, you can re-check and delete your listing.

Verify domain ownership first, then use the “Delete Listing” button on your dashboard listing page.

Yes, the AI Discovery Files Directory is completely free. Submit your site and manage your listing at no cost.

Listings are re-checked quarterly. If your score drops (files are removed), your listing tier adjusts automatically. If llms.txt is removed entirely, the listing may be delisted.
